About Laarnie Soma Agency

Laarnie Soma Agency has been powering forward since January 2023 and we are just getting started. We are a tight knit team of three including my husband, and we thrive in a laid back, supportive environment where team players can really shine. We believe in balancing independence with collaboration, and we love celebrating wins, whether that means team lunches, outings, or fun competitions with cash prizes.

With nearly 8 years of experience in my home state of Hawaii and a degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, I bring both strong industry knowledge and a passion for mentorship. Since moving to the area in 2021, my family and I have fully embraced the local community. We are here to make a difference in the lives of our customers and in the careers of people who join our team.

If you’re looking for a fresh start in a fun, driven, close-knit office, we’d love to connect. Your success is our success! We’re excited to build what’s next for our agency and we’re looking for someone with the drive, commitment, and positive energy to help us get there.

Job Description

As a Customer Relations Representative - State Farm Agent Team Member with Laarnie Soma - State Farm Agent, you will help us deliver the kind of insurance experience people remember for the right reasons. This is a hands on role where you support clients, keep service running smoothly, and help our team stay one step ahead. If you have a strong work ethic, love helping people, and enjoy being the person customers can count on, you’ll fit right in.

In this role, you will support policy recommendations based on what clients actually need, handle inquiries with professionalism, coordinate with the team to maintain smooth workflows, and assist with the details that make our agency great. Plus, this is a career path, not a dead end. We look for customer focused, results driven people and we plan to grow with motivated, sales minded team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service & Sales Support: Welcome incoming customers, answer questions, identify needs, and recommend appropriate State Farm coverage.
  • Lead Follow-Up & Appointment Coordination: Use the agency CRM to contact leads quickly, track status, and schedule appointments for the agent or sales team.
  • Quoting & Policy Applications: Assist with new business by gathering accurate information, preparing details, and helping prospects understand next steps.
  • Policy Reviews, Updates & Billing Support: Help with account changes, billing questions, and policy reviews—looking for ways to improve coverage and pricing.
  • Retention & Renewal Support: Monitor renewal timelines, address concerns, and support retention efforts before policies renew.
  • Team Communication: Keep lead/customer information organized and communicate clearly with the agent and team to ensure smooth handoffs.
  • Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Track key sales/service metrics and share updates, opportunities, and improvement ideas.
  • Community Outreach: Support local events and campaigns that strengthen relationships and generate new leads, including referrals.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Document interactions accurately and follow State Farm procedures, licensing, and disclosure requirements.
Qualifications

  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Exceptional Sales Skills (customer-focused persuasion, confident consultative conversations, and consistent follow-up)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Prior experience in customer service, insurance sales, and/or administrative support preferred
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable state insurance licenses
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
